John Jarrett
John grew up in Dallas, Texas, sweeping his dad’s jobsites and working for him parttime as he grew older. John earned a degree in Construction Science from the University of Oklahoma and upon graduation, joined The Beck Group where he spent time in commercial healthcare construction. The desire for more of a personal connection within his projects led John to join his father in residential construction in 2010. In 2019, after almost a decade of building homes together as father and son, “The Ed Jarrett Company” became “Jarrett Construction” and John officially took over the helm. John loves the entire homebuilding process and believes his clients should enjoy it just as much. He sees the architect, designer, homeowner, and builder as a tight – knit team that when communicating effectively and strategizing in harmony, can create something extraordinarily special – a home. John is LEED certified and seeks to utilize green construction methods and materials on all Jarrett Construction homes, new and historic. He also has an intimate knowledge of what it’s like to work with Jarrett Construction – he and his wife became clients themselves in 2019, building their family home in Lakewood where they now live with their two sons and faithful pup Jack. John enjoys spending free time outdoors with his family, and standing Saturday morning donut runs with his sons.

Ed Jarrett
Ed Jarrett grew up in Waco, Texas and made his way to Fort Worth for college, where he played center for the TCU Horned Frogs. He graduated class of 1970, and married his wife Susan Smitham Jarrett in 1973. Together they share 48 years of marriage, seven children, and 13 grandchildren. Ed entered the residential construction business in 1975, and has spent the last 45 years building new homes and remodeling numerous historic homes in the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, East Dallas Historic Districts and surrounding areas. His prolific building experience is an invaluable asset to Jarrett Construction. Ed is a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and mentor to many, and enjoys cooking, golf, fishing, and travel in his free time.

He is an expert in all phases of carpentry and his guiding wisdom benefits every Jarrett Construction project and team member. Jeff and his wife enjoy volunteering at their local food pantry, their local animal shelter, and as ushers at their church. Jeff is also a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

While attending college, she worked full time at a wholesaler company where she gained experience in the accounting and administrative fields. It was there that she also discovered she loved problem-solving, the creation of processes, and critical thinking. These skills coupled with her experience in accounting led her to Jarrett Construction.
Cathy’s wealth of intelligence, curiosity, and creativity makes her a vital member of the Jarrett Co. team. Cathy is still an avid artist, drawing and painting for her own enjoyment. Besides pursuing art in her spare time, she also enjoys serving at her church’s student and young adult ministries, spending time with her family and friends, going to different live music events or simply staying home to watch a good movie or read a book.
